Bangladesh junior hockey team kept their hope alive of playing in the Under-20 Junior Asia Cup Hockey as the red-green representatives pulled off victory against Kazakhstan by a margin of 4-2 goals in their third match of the tournament on Tuesday.

This desired victory has greatly increased the team's confidence after losing two consecutive matches.

Bangladesh Under-20 team put Kazakhstan under pressure by playing aggressive hockey from the beginning of the match. Shimul Islam, Mehedi Hasan Abhi, Taiyab Ali and Munna Islam scored one goal each for the team.

Earlier, Bangladesh had gone on the back foot after losing to host China 3-2 goals in the first match of the tournament and to Malaysia 4-2 goals in the second match. However, with today's impressive victory, in addition to opening the first point table in the tournament, the youngsters proved that they are capable of turning around from any situation.
