The 10th Shitoryu Karatedo Bangladesh Championships-2026 and Shitoryu Karatedo Technical seminar-2026 was held at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College campus in the capital, emphasizing self-defense and personality development for students through a blend of education and sports.

Ashraf Jalal Khan Monon, an esteemed member of the Youth Welfare Fund Management Board under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, attended the event as the chief guest. 

Also present at the event were Masum Parvez Rubel, President of the Bangladesh Karate Foundation; Majeda Begum, Principal of the Viqarunnisa Noon School and College; and other prominent figures associated with karate in Bangladesh.

In his address, the chief guest stated: "I want us to build a foundation for our children through this organization, where they can grow up to be self-reliant in the coming days."

"Our primary goal is to make school children aware of their own strength and to instill a sense of self-confidence and discipline in them. It is essential to spread this message to every corner of the country."

He further added, "The government will extend its full cooperation in realizing this noble initiative. We will work together to do whatever is necessary. Only then will our children develop into worthy citizens for the country's future."

Students, guardians, and karate instructors from Viqarunnisa participated in the seminar. The day-long technical seminar featured practical demonstrations covering various karate techniques, self-defense strategies, and discipline.

Speakers highlighted the immense role martial arts play in the physical and mental development of children and adolescents alongside their academic studies. They called for the expansion of such events in educational institutions.

At the conclusion of the event, the guests handed over certificates to the participating students and expressed optimism about organising similar seminars nationwide in the future.
