Another new golden chapter is going to be added to the crown of Bangladesh archery in the international arena. A press conference was held on Sunday at the Dutch Bangla Bank Auditorium of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) building on the Presidents Challenge Cup and Joint Training Program starting from July 30 with the participation of 26 countries.

Bangladesh Archery Federation President and World Archery Asia President Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapol and Federation General Secretary Syed Tanvir Raihan presented detailed information at the press conference. Federation Joint Secretaries Sohel Rana and Rubel Hossain, Treasurer Saiduzzaman Tuhin and Bangladesh team head coach Martin Frederick were also present at the time.

World Archery Asia President Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal said at the press conference, “This event is mainly divided into two parts. Our joint training program and the World Archery Asia President Challenge Cup. Officials are also our stakeholders, who are coming from different countries. Representatives from a total of 26 countries including Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe and archers and officials from 17 countries are participating in it.”

He further said, "This program is being jointly initiated by World Archery Asia, World Archery, Olympic Solidarity and Bangladesh Archery Federation. During the presidential election, I had promised to build 'One Vision, One Asia and Unique Asia'. Our goal is to eliminate the situation where some will be at the top and some at the bottom and take everyone to a competitive level. Last November, Bangladesh defeated Korea twice on our own ground. This year, for the first time, this Challenge Cup has been introduced in the name of the World Archery Asia President."

Regarding the mixed team competition, he said that this competition will be held by arranging matches according to the results of girls and boys from other countries, and the players of the country will not play among themselves.

Federation General Secretary Syed Tanvir Raihan said, 'In this program organized at the Tongi Archery Training Academy, archers and coaches from different countries will be given joint training. Later, the President Challenge Cup competition will be held as per the international archery rules. A total of 114 people including archers, coaches, officials, guests and technical officials from 26 countries in the men's and women's categories are participating in this great event. We believe that this event will take Bangladesh's archery and youth archery much further in the international arena.'

The participating countries are Afghanistan, Bhutan, Republic of China, India, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Yemen and a total of 17 countries including the host Bangladesh. In addition, representatives from a total of 26 countries, including technical officials and guests, are participating from Australia, Comoros, Egypt, Iran, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taipei, Tunisia and Uganda. The President's Challenge Cup and Joint Training Program are being financially supported by World Archery Asia. The event is sponsored by Mousumi Industries Limited (Cute).
